Samsung Exynos 2500 Could Power the Galaxy S25 Series
The Exynos 2500, Samsung’s new flagship chipset that has been the subject of leaks, has finally been officially confirmed. The processor was named for the first time by the company during their second-quarter earnings report. Samsung added the Exynos 2500 to their list of flagship products, stating that this processor would be the second to use the 3nm production technology, following the Exynos W1000.
Although there hasn’t been an official announcement, the Exynos 2500, Samsung’s second 3nm chipset, could be used first in the Galaxy S25 series. As in previous years, some markets may see the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ launch with this chipset. It’s known that Samsung typically opts for Qualcomm processors in their Ultra models.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra, expected to be introduced at the beginning of 2025, is expected to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 for Galaxy processor. In markets like China and North America, all models might feature Qualcomm processors. According to some reports, the Exynos 2500 will be a 10-core processor consisting of one 3.2GHz Cortex-X5, three 2.3GHz Cortex-A730 cores, two Cortex-A730 cores, and four Cortex-A520 cores.
Additionally, the processor is expected to feature Samsung’s Xclipse 950 graphics unit technology, and it is finally being introduced as a true competitor to Snapdragon under the Exynos name.
